The accomplishments that make Nelson Mandela memorable are the facts that he managed to stop apartheism in South Africa and uniting the "blacks" and the "whites". The served as president of South Africa for 5 years, and served as president of the ANC as well during his lifetime. He managed to obliterate racism and apartheism without holding any rage against those who insulted him racially. Nelson Mandela founded the "Nelson Mandela Foundation" to support the cure to HIV/AIDS in South Africa. He has been known as the "saviour" and "father of the nation" in South Africa. Nelson Mandela is the man that managed to stop racism not only in South Africa, but also worldwide. He overcame the challenges held against him, and created a national accomplishment known worldwide.
